أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ ( 1 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 1
Du har vel sett ham som fornekter dommen?
فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ ( 2 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 2
Det er han som støter bort den foreldreløse,
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ ( 3 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 3
og ikke oppfordrer til å gi den fattige mat.
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ ( 4 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 4
Ve dem som holder bønn,
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ ( 5 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 5
men som ikke samler seg om den,
الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ ( 6 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 6
som gjør det bare for syns skyld,
وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ ( 7 ) Al-Ma'un ( Small Kindnesses ) - Aya 7
som nekter å gi en håndsrekning!
